TEMPORARY – LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS x 20 LAW ENFORCEMENT SECTION DIRECTORATE: COMMUNITY SERVICES

REMUNERATION R41.00 (per normal hour)

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

  • Enforcement of Municipal By-laws
  • Patrolling of Beaches
  • Assist Traffic Officers in marches, etc.
  • Crowd control
  • Assist enforcement of Disaster management regulations;
  • Visible policing of tourist sites to prevent minor offences
  • Assist with the control of animals on public roads
  • Maintain law and order across the Greater Knysna Municipal Area
  • To perform any other related duties as requested from time to time

 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE 

  • Grade 12
  • Certificate in Law Enforcement or Peace Officer;
  • Must be physical fit to walk long distances;
  • Must be prepared to work before and after normal working hours, weekends and Public Holidays when required;

 

 

Notice is hereby given that the Knysna Municipality will be appointing suitably qualified temporary staff for the period of 15 December 2022 to 15 January 2023 throughout the Greater Municipal Area (which includes Sedgefield).

 

 

TEMPORARY – POINT DUTY OFFICERS X 20 TRAFFIC SECTION DIRECTORATE: COMMUNITY SERVICES

REMUNERATION R41.00 (per normal hour)

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

  • Traffic control (Point duty);
  • Maintain order and law across the Greater Knysna Area.

 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE 

  • Grade 12;
  • Certificate in Traffic Services Management will be added advantage;
  • Knowledge of the Batho Pele Principles;
  • Communication skills in at least two (2) of the official languages used in the Western cape;
  • Must be prepared to work before and beyond normal working hours, weekends and public holidays when required.
