PERMANENT CUSTOMER CARE ASSISTANTS

The Department of Social Development, has opportunities for four (4) competent individuals to provide Permanent Customer Care Assistants duties.

Requirements to qualify: Grade 12/ Matric/ Senior Certificate

Key Responsibilities: Performing services such as receiving and referring clients at the front desk. Provide a service for dispatch calls. Make sure the register is signed and filled out correctly. Facilitate all complaints and move them up as necessary. Prepare a monthly local office report on walk-in statistics and inquiries or complaints. Inform clients about the services that are available. Help clients understand how to use the department’s services. Provide general administrative support and keep track of records.

 

 

Competencies A good understanding of the following: Computer literacy in MicroSoft Office packages. Department of Department of Social Development functions, projects and programs. Internal and external marketing and communication processes. Organising and planning skills. Ability to work under pressure. Customer care. Communication skills both written and verbal. Must  be able to resolve conflicts.  Negotiation skills.

Successful Permanent Customer Care Assistants will receive remuneration of: R 202 233 per annum (Salary level 5)

Note on remuneration: Employees’ service benefits or obligations (13th cheque, medical assistance, housing assistance, pension-fund contributions, etc) are funded or co-funded in terms of the applicable prescripts or collective agreements

Shortlisted candidates will be required to submit copies of their documentation for verification purposes. These candidates will be required to attend interviews on a date and time as determined by the department. The selection process will be guided by the EE targets of the employing department.

The successful incumbent must be willing to work under pressure and meet deadlines, have a positive attitude and be responsible.
